Txmmyily is one of those Nigerian artists who did not wait for permission before showing what he is capable of. He began his releases as a teenager and continued to do so during his quiet times, and now has a real EP and record deal.
His music lands somewhere between Afropop, hip-hop, the movement called ‘alté’ and some indie rock. It’s part of what continues to attract attention to him.
He isn’t quite mainstream just yet. But he’s well beyond being considered an unknown. His Spotify Page has got about 194k monthly listeners right now. How old is Txmmyily?
Txmmyily is 18 years old.
Since 2022, he has been releasing music, meaning he was still young when his first songs were released. It’s a detail that’s important when listening to his catalogue. The early music is reminiscent of a teenager testing out things in real time. The recent work is all like someone who has already done the reps.
It is supported by his lyrics. On one of the songs on his 2026 EP, called “Shoki”, he yells “School ain’t work so I’m always online”. It’s included in nearly every official credit available for his catalogue. Shazam credits “Tomisin Ogundipe” as the songwriter for “Soke,” “Shoki,” “In my Benzo” and “Wassup. On “Fashion Nova,” “Komole” and “Ghetto Babe,” the composer is credited as “tomisin ogundipe.” On one of their tracks entitled “Body Work”, the writing is credited to “Ogundipe Tomisin & Oseremen Marvin” and that is where it gets interesting, because the second name on the track is that of Mavo (aka Oseremen Marvin).
An early release takes the name of one official, “Timileyin Ogundipe,” which is an early release of ‘Don’t Play’, a 2023 single featuring a group member Iluvmsj. This can be a second given name or an old metadata item that was never updated. Tomisin has consistently been used in all his productions since then.

His catalogue is so vast that some do not realize just how extensive it is. Here is the way it actually operates.
He started in 2022 with “Rack$.” That is the track NATIVE points to as his official arrival. It was followed by Wishing I Knew released by $at.urn in September 2022 the same year.
2023 is the busiest 1 of his early years. He released “Past Mistakes” in February with Oz Oz, “End of the Rainbow” in April with Offlyne, “Don’t Play” in June with Iluvmsj, “Money & Motion” in September with Offlyne and “in my head” and “Holdin on, But not for long” with kortani. In September 2023 he released his first EP, Velvet. There were six tracks “hey girl,” “Do you miss me too?,” “Strange,” “You,” “Rockstar” and “Money & motion. The sound of indie rock and bedroom pop hits the loudest in Velvet.
He finally leaned towards Nigeria in 2024. “Ghetto Babe” with Len arrived in January. “2Man” with Offlyne came out in May. Sir Napkin and SadBoyForLife also did “Side!” in June. In July was the turn of “Fashion Nova” and in October, “Komole” by Kamy Beats. The same month, he also had an appearance on “OMO T’OH SHAN”.
2025 was his turning point! His biggest song was “Body Work” with Mavo, which was released on 23 January 2025. It has already reached one million streams. He came next with “omoge” (March), “Fashionista” (April) and “Angelina” (30 April 2025) together with Tkid and COUNTR. “Angelina” crossed 400,000 streams. His July guest appearances on “247LUV” were with treygtk, JoeyXcv and Bazen.
Then was “Jaiye” on 12 September 2025. Written by Dan Akins and mixed by Mr. DOZ, a straightforward party-type record about having fun and thinking about someone from his days gone by. Over 2,000 sounds were created from it on social media before it even dropped. Jupefruit directed the video and can be seen as a guest on stage, followed by some scenes of him with his friends. NATIVE covered it. It was picked up by the UK music paper Soundnvision as well.
He was paired with No11 to close out 2025 with “Shima” in December, and “Touch Your Body” with D2 WRLD later that month.
The big one was in the year 2026. He kicked things off with “BUST (Freestyle)” for the day ones on SoundCloud. Its lead single was “Wassup” which came out on 8 May 2026. Shortly after, on 22nd May 2026, he launched his second EP and his first project in almost three years called Milly.
Milly is 4 tracks and 8 minutes in length. The song selection includes “Wassup,” “Soke,” “Shoki” with guest Zaylevelten and “In my Benzo. Production is performed from OYB, Yo$tereo, ELEMEN3, Kayeeh, Tenski and Wana Sn. The mixing and mastering of “Soke” were done by OYB. “In my Benzo” has vocals engineered by Txmmyily.
The one that stands out is called “Shoki. The tune is unsurprisingly the loudest one on the project, and he is joined by his label mate Zaylevelten on one of the project’s street-poppy beats. The other favourite, ‘In my Benzo’, is a combination of pidgin, Yoruba and English, with dialogue such as: “For the game I be landlord, I be landlord, Rahman Jago!”
NATIVE reviewed Milly and called it proof of his growth. Their writer Boluwatife Adeyemi called him “a singer in the promising phase”, as he found his voice and is now more ready to hit the peaks of his potential.

But this is where his story starts to get interesting.
He was free for the majority of his career. His 2024 and 2025 singles bear the record name “℗ Txmmyily, under exclusive license to No More Parties. “Komole” reads “℗ 2024 TxmmyIly/No More Parties.” This was a licensing deal and not a signing. He owns his masters and has produced the songs with No More Parties.
That changed in 2026. For his first project he has partnered with Lizzy Records and Antagonists Music and released Milly. Each of the tracks on the EP is marked with “℗ 2026 AntagonistsMusic / Lizzy Records. Genius features both companies as a label and as a copyright holder for the phonographic works.
Lizzy Records is an independent British record store. The other half is handled by Antagonists Music, but this place is also the home of Zaylevelten, hence the presence of Zay on “Shoki. Other available names in the orbit include Monochrome, scottyolorin, Suono Sai, Kobilou and Egertton.
So, my short answer to this is this. He is now distributing through Antagonists Music with Lizzy Records, and he has been working with No More Parties in the past.

Conclusion
Txmmyily not talked about new releases since he released Milly in May. That’s not out of the ordinary for him. It took him almost one year to move from “Jaiye” to “Wassup”, and fans were buzzed all along the way. His mode of operation has been to disappear, construct and present something harder than the previous.
The obvious thing is he has some organization now. Milly is more concentrated and tighter than anything he did on his own. Afropop lean is greater. Features are in a more appropriate location. The production is cleaner.
In his 18th year, with two EPs under his belt, a base of streaming fans, and a label backing his career, Txmmyily is well-positioned.
The next 12 months will tell us whether he becomes a name your cousin knows or stays a favourite among people who dig a little deeper. In either case, he has accomplished much more than most artists his age.
