Mr Macaroni’s real name is Adebowale Babatunde Adedayo. He was born 3rd May 1993 in Ogudu, Lagos State, Nigeria and is from Ogun State. His father is a Muslim and his mother is Christian, so he was brought up in the Magodo neighbourhood of Lagos with a mix of Islamic and Christian traditions. He’s 33 years old, and as of 2026; he’s an established entertainer, comedian, film maker and one of the most consistent civic voices in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Family Background

Mr Macaroni was the 10th and final child of 10 children. Six sisters and three brothers. His father Musa Alao Adedayo (Agbedegbeyo) is also a prominent figure in the Yoruba media. As a prominent television newscaster with NTA in the 80s, he went on to publish newspapers, Alaroye and Akede Agbaye, which are among the most widely read Yoruba language newspapers in Nigeria. His mother, Dorcas Adedayo is a devout Christian, a leader of the Celestial church of Christ and an educationist.

He enrolled for another law degree at Houdegbe North American University in Cotonou, Benin Republic after trying to attend another university, and left after he clashed with a lecturer during an examination. Mr Macaroni was then admitted to Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti for Theatre Arts but it was not available then, so he was admitted to English and Media Studies, which was not what he had in mind. Mr Macaroni eventually got admission to Redeemer’s University, Osun in 2013 where he is studying his initial interest of Theatre Arts and Film Studies. He left university with a second class upper degree in 2018. Except it nearly did not happen. He was expelled from the university days before he was scheduled to graduate for what they said was an “offensive social media post. His parents appealed to the courts. Redeemer’s University later withdrew, negotiated a settlement without court and he graduated. He spent about ten years in secondary school before he got his degree during the Convocation.
